Loch Lomond

The heading title is a bit misleading. There is not many views towards Loch Lomond on this walk. The reason is that most of this walk is inland past a number of farm fields and golf courses. The most famous of these golf courses is off course the Loch Lomond Golf Club, one of the leading luxury golf resorts in the world. Only the start of the walk and Duck Bay towards the end gives the walker access to this vast inland loch. The walk on the path next to the road is also marred by some heavy traffic on this main road. Is this a good walk ? No. But it is still there.
Pretty Hard
The walk is flat with a small hill climb between Cameron House and Balloch at the end of the walk. Bring plenty of water and good shoes on this walk.

The walk starts from the bus stop at the Glasgow to Oban/Fort William main road. Cross this busy road and head past the hotel towards the very scenic Luss pier. The two next photos is from this very scenic Pier Road in Luss.
Retrace your steps back to the hotel, Loch Lomond Arms and take the road to the left out of the village. The road and then the paths are well signposted all the way towards the end of the walk at Balloch. There are some scenic paths as this one here...
The worst bits of the walk are the ones next to the busy, noisy main road. This is why this walk is not that pleasing. About 6 miles / 10 km into the walk, the path takes the walkers down to Loch Lomond at the scenic Duck Bay. The next picture has been taken back the road towards Luss (hidden) and Ben Lomond.
The path, make that pavement, now take the walk to the small roundabout at Cameron House, the premier luxury hotel in this region, and over this roundabout to a path taking the walk up the only significant climb of the day. This short climb takes the walk over a small hill where it enters Old Luss Road and the road descends again towards Balloch. A detour on a path to the left to the shops at the Loch Lomond shopping centre and sea life centre can be considered.
The walk continues straight ahead on the Old Luss Road to a roundabout. Take the second road to the left, Balloch Road, down to the Balloch railway station where this walk ends.
